Gunslingers is a Wii-exclusive light-gun shooter, played from a first-person perspective with a Wild West attitude. Players take the roles of the good guys -- the sheriff and his allies -- to blast through aim-and-fire missions of multi-target shooting ranges and enemy onslaughts. Moving the Wii Remote aims onscreen crosshairs that allow players to line up their shots. Bonus points are awarded for headshots and other fancy gunslinging, but players will be penalized for accidentally hitting civilians.
The game's story involves a mad scientist with a deadly destructive bomb that must be defused. Available at the time of the game's release, the Gunslingers retail bundle comes with two matching gunstock accessories, fashioned to look like Old West revolvers. Wii Remotes snap into the plastic gunstocks, allowing them to be wielded like pistols.
